Betaab Valley

Ever since, visiting it has turned into a top thing to do for those wandering through the area. Apart from Betaab, many other Bollywood films like Rockstar and Kashmir Ki Kali have scenes shot here, adding to its cinematic appeal.
The valley is surrounded by dense pine forests, towering mountains, and the sparkling Lidder River running alongside. It’s a perfect spot for picnics, photography, nature walks, and simply soaking in the breathtaking beauty.
It is located about 7 kilometers from Pahalgam town. It is easily accessible by car, cab, or pony rides.

Chandanwari

You’ll find Chandanwari about 16 kilometers away from Pahalgam super famous for its stunning views and being a holy place. It serves as the starting point of the famous Amarnath Yatra — a sacred pilgrimage for Hindus. It’s the starting point for treks to Sheshnag Lake and the Amarnath Cave.
It is about 30-40 minutes drive from Pahalgam town.
The drive itself is incredibly scenic, with views of lush valleys, river streams, and snow-covered peaks.
At Chandanwari, you can often see snow patches even during late spring and early summer (April-May), making it a fun spot for snow play. It’s surrounded by rugged mountains, crystal-clear streams, and frozen glacial beauty in the colder months.

Inside the temple complex, there’s a sacred spring known for its crystal-clear water. Built with typical Kashmiri stonework, the temple has a simple yet powerful charm, surrounded by lush greenery.
The temple is located just 1 kilometer from Pahalgam town. Positioned right next to the Lidder River, the temple sits across from Pahalgam’s central market area.

Baisaran Valley: The “Mini Switzerland” of Pahalgam
