Yas Island: Ferrari World, Warner Bros and Yas Waterworld

Yas Island in Abu Dhabi packs three large theme parks into a short walk or shuttle ride: Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld. Ferrari World is the best known of the three, mostly because of Formula Rossa, which the park bills as the world’s fastest roller coaster launch. This guide covers ticket prices as the parks list them, ride and dress rules, the free buses from Dubai and how to fit the parks into a UAE trip.

Know before you go

  • Where: Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The parks say they are about 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 50 minutes from Dubai.
  • Ferrari World and Warner Bros. World: fully indoor and air conditioned, open year round.
  • Ticket prices (park FAQs): online AED 345 for Ferrari World or Warner Bros. World; AED 295 for Yas Waterworld. Gate prices are higher and change by season.
  • Under 3s: free with a parent. Bring ID for the child.
  • Formula Rossa: height limit 140 to 195 cm. Listed as closed for maintenance on 27 October 2026.
  • Getting there: free Yas Express buses for ticket holders from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, plus Route D from Abu Dhabi city.
  • Re-entry: no re-entry on the same day, except at park management’s discretion.
  • Last checked: 27 October 2026 on the official FAQ and opening hours pages of the three parks (links under Official resources below).

Before you go: visa and timing

If you are travelling from India, you need a UAE visa before you can visit any of these parks. Our Dubai visa guide for Indians covers the tourist visa and the visa on arrival for Indians who hold a US, UK, EU or other qualifying visa. The same visa covers Abu Dhabi, since both are part of the UAE.

The two indoor parks work in any season. Yas Waterworld is outdoors, so plan it for a day and time when you are comfortable in the sun.

Ferrari World is a Ferrari themed park under a large red roof, linked to Yas Mall. It is fully indoors and air conditioned, and the park’s FAQ says it is open every day, year round. Inside there are rides for different thrill levels, Ferrari cars on display, places to eat and what the park calls the world’s largest Ferrari retail space.

Formula Rossa

Formula Rossa is the headline ride. The official ride page says it launches riders to 240 km/h in a single launch, climbs to 52 metres and pulls up to 4.8G. Riders must be between 140 and 195 cm tall.

On 27 October 2026, the park’s ride updates page listed Formula Rossa as closed for maintenance. If this ride is the main reason for your visit, check the ride updates on the opening hours page before you buy tickets.

Ferrari World ticket prices

The park’s FAQ gives these prices for a standard ticket:

Where you buyPriceNotes
OnlineAED 345fixed price
Gate, low seasonAED 360
Gate, medium seasonAED 370
Gate, peak daysAED 380

The FAQ says buying online saves up to 10% compared with the gate. Tickets are valid for one entry on the date you select. Junior pricing is based on height, with 1.1 m as the cut-off, because some rides are not open to shorter guests. Children under 3 enter free with a parent.

Prices on the live ticket page can differ from the FAQ, especially for combo tickets and offers, so treat the table as a starting point.

Ferrari World rules worth knowing

  • Dress code: the park asks for respectful clothing and recommends shorts that reach below the knee and covered shoulders.
  • Re-entry: there is no re-entry on the same day, except in exceptional cases at management’s discretion.
  • Date changes: the FAQ says you can change a dated ticket if you tell Yas Concierge before 7 pm on the day before your visit, for AED 50 per person. Other refund and exchange rules are also listed on the FAQ page and may change.
  • Parking: free in the Grand Prix car park at Yas Mall, with proof of entry. Valet parking is also offered.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi

Warner Bros. World is the region’s largest indoor theme park, according to its FAQ. It has more than 60 rides, experiences and live characters, with over 35 Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics characters to spot around the park, at shows and at character dining. The park lists 20 dining options and 22 shops.

Some attractions run only on Saturdays and Sundays, according to the ride updates on its opening hours page.

The FAQ also says a Harry Potter themed land is coming, without a date.

Warner Bros. World tickets

The FAQ lists the same prices as Ferrari World: AED 345 online, and AED 360 to AED 380 at the gate depending on the season. Other points from the FAQ:

  • Seniors aged 60 and above get 10% off a day ticket at the ticketing plaza with proof of age.
  • Two and three day multipark tickets are valid for 14 days from your first park visit.
  • The dress code matches Ferrari World: shorts below the knee and covered shoulders are recommended.

Yas Waterworld tickets and rules

The FAQ lists AED 295 online and AED 305 to AED 325 at the gate depending on the season. Children aged 3 and under enter free with a parent.

The swimwear rules are strict. Not allowed:

  • underwear, or clothing that is see-through when wet
  • clothes with metal buttons, zips, buckles or snaps
  • jeans, trousers and other long pants, and any denim
  • shirts or jackets that button or zip up the front
  • regular nappies in pools or rides (swim nappies are sold in the park)

You cannot bring your own inflatable floats. The park offers life jackets free of charge, and tube rides have single and double tubes.

The opening hours page lists rides that close on certain dates for maintenance. In late October 2026, several rides were listed with closures running into November, so check the list for your date.

Getting to Yas Island

From Dubai, the easiest option for many visitors is the free Yas Express bus, which runs daily from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah for park ticket holders. You must show a valid e-ticket and reach the stop 5 minutes before the bus. The parks say times are approximate because of traffic.

From Abu Dhabi city, Route D is a free shuttle that stops at Warner Bros. World and Yas Waterworld, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, and Ferrari World. There is also a free shuttle from Etihad Rail’s Abu Dhabi station at Mohamed Bin Zayed City to Yas Island. Timetables for all routes are linked from the parks’ opening hours pages.

Taxis also serve the parks, and parking is free at all three.

How to plan your day

Plan on one park per day. A few ways to make it work:

  • Buy online, both for the lower price and to skip the ticket counter.
  • Pick a date and check the ride updates first, especially for Formula Rossa and any water ride you care about.
  • If you want two or three parks, compare a multipark ticket with separate day tickets.
  • Plan the outdoor water park for the morning, and the indoor parks for the hottest part of the day.
  • Carry the child’s ID if you are claiming free entry for an under 3.

Yas Island also has Yas Marina Circuit, the Formula 1 track, along with Yas Mall and a cluster of hotels. If you are staying on the island, the free Yas Express shuttle links the hotels with the main attractions.
